Mary Tobin

Oral Health Therapist / Hygienist BOH

Mary Tobin joined the Best St Dental team in 2026, bringing with her a genuine passion for patient care and a warm, friendly approach that puts people at ease. Originally from Coffs Harbour, Mary holds a Bachelor of Oral Health from Charles Sturt University and has been working in dentistry since 2018 — first as a dental assistant, then qualifying as an oral health therapist.

Her path into dentistry began thanks to her sister, who was already working as an assistant and needed a hand. Mary completed her Certificate III in dental assisting and quickly discovered a love for the field. That spark led her to pursue oral health therapy, where she found her calling. Mary's favourite part of the job is building genuine rapport with her patients and being part of a supportive team that works together to deliver great care.

Outside the clinic, Mary loves staying active — you'll find her surfing or snowboarding when she's not at the gym. She also enjoys winding down with YouTube or Netflix, and she has two pet snakes at home (they're friendlier than they sound). One fun fact: Mary is half German, with her mum born in Germany, and she's currently learning the language.
